Burke & Wills Roadhouse, NQ
(18-19 Aug) Today we woke up slowly and realised that Burke and Wills never went to the Burke and Wills Roadhouse! Then we drove from the Burke and Wills Roadhouse to Cloncurry. On the way we drove into a plague of locusts. There were so many millions of locusts that they made the sky look pink. When we stopped there were dead locusts all over our car. At the Royal Flying Doctor Museum in Cloncurry there were lots of things including the old radios. John Flynn started the Royal Flying Doctor service in Cloncurry and he is on the back of our twenty dollar notes. We also tried to use the old radio.

Loved the photo of Hugh with his head inside the mouth of a dead crocodile !! You are certainly learning a lot and acquiring a lot of skills.

OK, just read the "new" vehicle update - very nerdy :-) but hey Mr Toyota will be proud of you! Good job and glad no one needs to use the EPIRB - let's keep it that way ok!
ReplyDeleteAs for the crocodile, my little ones....it is the biggest, baddest crocodile I have seen - fits both of you in one small bite - chomp, chomp...speaking of food, we just had lunch at Picolo's....super yummy yummy pasta - do you guys miss it yet. By the way, Klaus can make home-made pasta now since Tosca taught him how to!
