Early morning on the west coast: Green Point beach and Cape Grim (northwesternmost corner of Tasmania).

Today we woke up slowly ready to explore the wild west coast. We drove to the
Arthur River – and crossed it – and then went to Sarah Ann Rocks where we saw
some guys who had been diving for lobster and abalone. We then drove part of
the Balfour track (a famous 4WD track) to Balfour (a ghost town), went on the little car ferry across the Pieman River, and
drove to Zeehan where we camped.
Petroglyphs next to the beach at Nelson Bay on the west coast. They are 5,000-10,000 years old. On the west coast, all the petroglyphs are circles and shapes rather than animals or people, but no-one knows why.
